description McKinney Roughs is a 1,100 acre nature park where visitors can explore close to 18 miles of trails by foot or 12 miles on horseback (bring your own horse). Facility Rental Options: Premium Pavilion (1): Colorado Vista Pavilion is suitable for family reunions, holiday parties or company and church picnics. The pavilion offers river front access, eight picnic tables and a large grill. An adjacent serving kitchen has an AC unit, refrigerator, freezer and a microwave. This is the perfect private outdoor space for your next event. Pavilion hours are 8 AM - 10 PM. Please call the park office at 512-303-5073 after reserving the pavilion for more details. Group Hall (1): Wildflower Hall is suitable for weddings, family reunions, holiday parties or company and church picnics. When rented in combination with the adjacent dormitories, this facility is popular for events requiring overnight accommodations. The hall is designed for sit down dinners for up to 150 to 250 people theatre style. The hall has air conditioning and heat, full commercial kitchen with oven, flat top, dishwasher, refrigerator, buffet counter, icemaker, tables and chairs, private restrooms and a fireplace. Only service animals are allowed in the hall. Hall rental hours are from 8 AM - 10 PM. Please call the park office at 512-303-5073 for more details. Dormitories (3): Climate-controlled dormitory building sleep 16-24 guests per floor in modern bunk beds. Each floor has its own entrance, a covered porch, clean restrooms and hot showers. Perfect for group events requiring affordable overnight accommodations. You will need to bring your own linens, toiletries, blankets and towels. Please call the park office at 512-303-5073 for more details. Meeting Rooms (3): Three classrooms can each accommodate up to 30 people. Together, they also open up into a larger room for 100 people. A small catering kitchen is available to groups of 30 or fewer for food preparation, refrigeration and heating. Amphitheater (1): Live music events are even better when performed in an amphitheater tucked in the woods. The amphitheater provides bench seating for 100-125 people. The 12 x 16 foot stage is well lit, and water and electricity are available. Please call the park office at 512-303-5073 for more details. drivingDirection From Houston / Katy: Take I-10 West. Take exit 695 to merge onto TX-71 West / Feeder Rd toward LaGrange / Austin. Continue on TX-71 West for approximately 65 miles. Park entrance will be on the right hand side approximately 10 miles past TX-95 in Bastrop. From Dallas: Take IH35 South through Round Rock. Take US-183 South to 71 East towards Austin-Bergstrom Airport. Take TX-71 East towards Bastrop for approximately 15 miles. Park entrance is on left hand side approximately one half mile past Pople Bend Road. From Austin: Located 13 miles east of Austin-Bergstrom Airport. Take TX-71 East towards Bastrop. importantInformation Entrance fees are charged in addition to your site fees and are collected upon arrival at the park. The entrance fees are $5.00 for adults (13 years and older) per person per day, children 12 years or younger are free, Texas senior residents (65 years and older) are $2.00 per person per day, military who are permanently disabled are $2.00 per person per day, disabled individuals are $2.00 per person per day. All park visitors must check in at the park office when arriving at the park. If arriving after 5 PM please contact the park office at 512-303-5073 prior to arriving. Check-in for all sites is 3 PM and check out is noon. Smoking is strictly prohibited on all property and in any buildings. Pets are welcome in the park but must remain on a leash or contained in a fenced structure. Pets are restricted to designated pet friendly mini-cabins only. Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 6 AM. No excessive noise, running generators or amplified music is permitted during quiet hours. No glass containers are permitted. Please contact the park office at 512-303-5073 for any organized group activity on LCRA land involving 20 people or more to obtain a Land Use Permit.
